Big Changes Afoot!

The Scaglione/Lynn camp is heading south.

You may have noticed something missing from your life. It may have started out as a vague, almost imperceptible longing, a yearning for understanding. An itch behind the eyes. A wistful pang in your chest where you remembered your heart is. The feeling slowly grew until now, this moment. Finally! The latest Installment. Where has Life on the Installment Plan been?!

Greetings from Life on the Installment Plan! You may have noticed a void where this blog, newsletter, meandering missive, whatever this is, has been. Maybe you haven’t noticed. The point is, I’ve been preoccupied with some pretty big changes here at camp Scaglione/Lynn.

After 31 years living in Oakland, Ca, (well, 31 for me, 14 for Arrica), we’ve decided to pack it up and head south to the land of Arrica’s origin- sunny Los Angeles. The decision to part ways with NorCal was not made hastily. Oakland is very much my home and I will miss this place with all of my being. I moved here when I was 20 years old in my 1986 Chevy Celebrity station wagon with two guitars, an amplifier, two garbage bags of clothes, a couple boxes of records, a couple boxes of ‘things,’ a few boxes of books- armed with nothing more than the youthful exuberance of a life about to unfold. And unfold it did.

So if you’ve been missing LotIP, that’s where I’ve been- in the lab figuring out this next phase. I intend to keep the Installment going. I love doing it. But you know how I am constantly preaching balance, yeah? I am trying to maintain some and as a result, some things have had to be sidelined, including Life on the Installment Plan.

Big picture-Now it’s time to explore elsewhere, Los Angeles.

If you’re reading this, you know what I do. I’m a purveyor of all things health and wellness. I’m looking to bring the message of Life on the Installment Plan south. I’ll be setting up shop in LA doing all the things I do- you know, health, fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, wellness, coaching.

Though the exact timeline for the move remains uncertain, other than ‘sometime this fall,’ I’ll be looking for clients when we do arrive. Please feel free to contact me if you’re in the LA area and you’ve ever been interested in getting some coaching.
